Mark Koberstein

Mark Koberstein was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. He attended Oregon State University and Northwestern College in Watertown, Wisconsin. He worked for 33 years as a police officer and 23 years in the US Army and Oregon Army National Guard. He is retired from both. He has worked with several 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofits, as well as helping start a few. He was Governor appointed to the Oregon Transportation Safety Commission, serving as Chair for 7 years. In Josephine County he has served on the Fair Board for 6 ½ years and the ODOT Rogue Valley Area Commission on Transportation. He is currently on the Board of Directors for the Friends of the Josephine County Fairgrounds, the Josephine County Parks and Recreation Foundation, and the Oregon Fairs Foundation.

His wife, Terri, is a Southern Oregon girl and they moved to Grants Pass 9 years ago. They have two horses, two dogs and a bunch of chickens.
