Grant programs

We have faith in the competence and passion of our local nonprofits. Funding them through grants strengthens the fabric of our community by making possible diverse bodies of work led by people who are experts in their fields of service.

We use the proceeds from our invested funds to provide grants, and to offer direct services to nonprofits to help them grow and thrive. We also help donors use Donor Advised Funds and Charitable Beneficiary Funds to join us in supporting this vital local work.

The Four Way Community Foundation makes grants to nonprofits serving Josephine County and the portion of Jackson County west of the 123rd line of longitude.

Community Grants —

Annual deadline: April 1

Community Grants are for capital needs up to $10,000 for organizations serving Josephine County and western Jackson County.

Application Materials are in the green sidebar, or below on mobile devices.

Rose Douglas Grants —

Annual deadline: March 1

Rose Douglas Grants are for organizations serving intellectually and developmentally disabled residents of Josephine County. They may be operational, programmatic, or capital. They are generally limited to $10,000 with occasional exceptions.

*In order for an organization that was funded in 2023 to submit an application for a new project in 2024, they have to have completed their project and submitted their final report by April 1, 2024.

Grant recipients must be a 501(c)(1) or 501(c)(3) organization and either be located within our service area or be providing substantial unduplicated services to residents of our service area. The Four Way Community Foundation values inclusion and will not fund organizations that discriminate. We require your group’s nondiscrimination policy and we expect your group to actively honor that policy. (See “Guidelines” document below.)

We strive to keep our granting processes simple. We are much more interested in the quality of your group’s impact than the perfection of your application.

We are happy to discuss your grant proposal and your group’s eligibility. Contact us.
