John Higgins

John Higgins moved to Grants Pass in 1993 after a 14-year career with the Price Waterhouse international tax departments in San Francisco and Hong Kong. He received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from UC Berkeley and law degree from UC Hastings, qualifying as a CPA and attorney in California. After moving to Grants Pass, John served as a volunteer with Lovejoy Hospice, and the Grants Pass School District budget committee and school board. In 2001, John joined the Grants Pass School District as Business Director, holding several other district level administrative positions before retiring as Superintendent in 2016. While with the school district, John served several terms as a Four Way Community Foundation board member. He also has been an administrative leadership program instructor in school law and finance for both Portland State and Southern Oregon Universities.

John says, “It is a privilege to rejoin the Four Way Foundation Board to help with the critical work the foundation provides non-profit and other support organizations serving our community.”
