Peter Angstadt

Peter Angstadt, Ph.D. first visited the Rogue Valley in 1978 while working as a whitewater river guide. He received his Bachelor’s degree as well as his Master’s in Higher Education Administration from Colorado State University. He earned his M.B.A. at Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho, where he was elected as full-time mayor of the city for two terms (1990 – 1998). After serving as President of Colorado Northwestern Community College, Angstadt moved to the Rogue Valley and became President of Rogue Community College for 12 years (2004 – 2016). Angstadt also earned his Ph.D. in Educational Policy and Management from the University of Oregon and served as Chief Financial Officer and Dean of College Services at Clackamas Community College in Oregon City.
Peter says, “When people get that boost for their ambitions and dreams, the whole community flourishes. I want to be a part of that work, which is exactly what the Four Way Community Foundation is doing here locally.”
